Class of 2015 LB Mac McCurry (6-0 205) of Summerville had 220 tackles his sophomore season, enough to lead the state in tackles, according to him. He is hearing from several schools but has not received that first offer. "Georgia called me (recently) and asked me to come to a camp so I went," said McCurry. "It went really good and I liked the coaches a lot. It was called
'Dawg Night' and there was bunch of guys up there. We got to run some drills and later we did some 7-on-7. It was really good." McCurry has yet to hear from USC of Clemson but is interested in both. "I've talked to coach (Everett (Sands) and coach (Elliott) and all," he said. "They're the recruiting coordinators for my area but I haven't gotten any mail or anything like that from them." McCurry has visited USC,Georgia Tech and Georgia Southern in the past for games but UGA was his only camp this summer. "We did a 7-on-7 camp at USC and Charlotte this summer," he added. "Charlotte was another school I really liked." Other schools showing interest include Vanderbilt and Duke among others. He does not have any favorites saying, "I guess Georgia is my favorite since they invited me to that camp, but really I'm open to anybody.
