Class of 2015 three-star OL/DT Jozie Milton 6'3" 294lbs (Clinton, La./Silliman Institute) has committed to South Carolina, according to reliable sources.
Milton, who has a rating of 0.8530 in the industry-generated 247Sports Composite as a defensive tackle, is being recruited as an interior offensive lineman by South Carolina.
He was recruited by defensive line coach Deke Adams, who had a prior relationship with his father, and offensive line coach Shawn Elliott.
The 6-foot-3, 294-pound Milton chose the Gamecocks over offers from Arkansas, Mississippi State, Oklahoma State and West Virginia, among many others.
"He was excited to let them know South Carolina was where he wanted to go," said Jozie's father, Mile Milton. "They offered him early at center and that made a big impression on him."
Milton is the Gamecocks' 10th commitment in the 2015 class and second in is many days.
"He is excited to be able to play for a coach like Steve Spurrier and thinks they will win a national championship before he leaves," Milton said. "We are excited because Fort Jackson is right there and Jozie will be surrounded by good coaches and good people."
