Just got through watching the game I recorded.  Was curious to see what we may be up against in these two this year.  Takeaways:  DJ may have a little Tajh in him.  Got hit early and never really recovered the rest of the game.  Clemson’s defense is solid.  Their offensive line does not look very good thus far.   Surprised Clemson played Register the entire game and rarely brought in any other running backs.  GA has speed to burn on their defense.  Their backers are very fast sideline to sideline and on blitzes.  I think their offense will be very good as well.  They will be a tough out for anyone.

The GA defensive line is a beast -- their center, #99 is just an incredible talent.  And he interviewed very well after the game.

I agree, Georgia’s defense is very tough. Their offense seems to leave a bit to be desired. They did run the ball well, but they may have looked bad because of Clemson’s defense.
I've heard a lot of Clemson fans blaming Elliot and the O-line. I’ve heard them say they were thin at QB, and their O-Line has been a weakness for years. Tiger net was like a comedy routine today. I am not a meme we there, I just like to read the silliness sometimes. If I had an account, I would have asked them what happened to “We too deep”, and explain that verbs move sentences along.

The online definitely did not play well.  I was really surprised they did not attack the middle of the field passing and keep GA’s backers from blitzing so much.  There was some real estate there they did not take advantage of and Elliot knows how to scheme it up, so not sure what the problem was.

Taters are still loaded with talent, but watching them play uga showed me that if they played a tougher schedule, they may lose 1 or 2 and would be more banged up through the year.  Uga was their only real challenge this year.

That is precisely why Dabo doesn’t want the playoffs extended, and why he would not want to play in the SEC. They played on tough opponent this year, and lost two players. Clemson is not built for a tough schedule. They are built for the short sprint at the end of the year.

I read that clempson has a few injuries.  One is a starting safety out for the year.  I think the other was a WR out 4-6 weeks with a broken thumb that needs surgery.  Soooooo, as I said above, if they didn't play a screw the acc easy schedule, no way they would be so healthy at the end of the year and playoff time.

Cockyandproud - you are 100% correct.  Dabo knows his conference is the easiest path and also why he does not want to have more teams in the playoffs.

I still think they have lots of talent, but if they played an SEC schedule - even if they beat teams like Auburn, LSA, UF or even A&M, they would have to play their starters the entire game, not play 2nd string come end of 3rd quarter.  I think that's another reason they got good.  They have been able to get their backups tons of experience over the years.  I read the taters are expected to be double digit favorites in the rest of their games.  That just shows the acc sucks.

How does a team that has had the type of success and recruiting classes they have had have to lean on a true freshman at running back and not have a solid offensive line?  I think they got a little too big for themselves and have passed on some really good talent thinking they are a national recruiting powerhouse now.
