Rising senior DB Kaleb Chalmers (5-11 170) of Greenwood has offers from Clemson, USC, Duke, North Carolina and Stanford with interest from several schools to include Georgia. "I've been getting a lot of letters from different schools," said Chalmers. "Georgia is the only camp I went to from schools that haven't offered." Chalmers attended the Black Magic camp at USC and attended camps at Clemson and North Carolina with a visit to Duke. "I like the environment and the atmosphere (at USC) and it's close to home," he said. "And we've had a couple of players from our school go there." He has talked to former Greenwood Eagle and USC Gamecock DJ Swearinger, but not about recruiting. "He just showed me certain drills I can do to work on my footwork...and stuff like that," said Chalmers. "We really didn't talk about anything else." Chalmers's sentiments of Clemson are very similar to how he sees the Gamecocks. "It's about the same," he said. "It's close to home and I like the atmosphere up there. Their coaches aren't pressuring me or anything like that. They just tell me to keep my grades up and they like how I play smart." Chalmers will attend the Clemson-Georgia game in Week One and has not scheduled any other visits beyond that. He does not have any favorites.
