It took some time but Clemson and USC eventually offered 3 star OL Nolan Kelleher 6'6" 290lbs of Wando last month. Kelleher was initially disappointing with the lack of attention he was receiving from the two in-state schools but has since taken ownership of the situation. "I am so excited to get offers from both schools," said Kelleher. "They are great schools. At first, I was a little disappointed that they were giving me the attention some other schools were, but I realized that I showed up at their camps (last summer) a little overweight. I have really changed my body type and I think they saw that in recruiting tape and started looking at me again." Kelleher does not have any favorites but did say he is narrowing his focus to USC, Clemson, Georgia Tech, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Mississippi State, Tennessee and NC State. Next weekend he heads to the Sunshine State for camps at Florida and FSU and plans to visit Stanford after that for another camp. "I want to study mechanical engineering and it doesn't hurt that Stanford has the number one school in that field," he said. "Hopefully the camp will open up an opportunity." Though the Gamecocks and Tigers were late to the party, Kelleher is very interested in both. He visited USC last week. "I got a chance to see the campus and I really liked it," he said. "The campus is spread out but its easy to navigate. I think coach (Shawn) Elliott is one of the best people I've met so far and the players seem like they're well-rounded people." He has already visited Clemson but wants to take another trip to the Upstate. "Coach (Dabo) Swinney was not there when I visited so I need to get back up there," he said. "The campus was amazing and the facilities were great. I like the coaches there too." Kelleher did not give a time frame for a decision.
