HC Shane Beamer says on the SEC teleconference that this is a big week for them in recruiting. Feels like they have a lot of needs right now. "We're nowhere close to where we want to be at this point."
Beamer says that he has tons of respect for Coach Stoops (UK) and how they do things. Noting that he never brought up Stoops' comments during the offseason. That said, he did admit that someone told him to take the sunglasses, in case they won the game.
Beamer on the open date, "we want our guys to catch their breath a little bit because it's a long season."
