William Rogers
3 star OL William Rogers 6'4' 295lbs of Hampton, GA made an official visit to USC over the weekend. According to his coach at Lovejoy High School. the Gamecocks offered Rogers on the visit and the coach is expecting some news on a decision within a day or two.
“He told me he had a good visit with South Carolina,” coach Edgar Carson said. “They have been recruiting him for a long time, been on him since last year. He has family in South Carolina. He’s been a fan of South Carolina. He’s liked them a long time. And the offensive line coach did a great job with him. He will let me know something tomorrow or Wednesday. I think they (USC) are in a real good place.”
Carson said Will Muschamp has had his in home visit and he’s expecting Gamecock offensive line coach Eric Wolford to return this week. FIU coach Butch Davis and Illinois coach Lovie Smith both were in either last night or today according to the coach. He took official visits to those two schools as well as Georgia State.
Carson said Rogers is a versatile offensive linemen who played tackle for him but could move to a guard in college. He as first team all-region last season.
