It now appears USC LB commitment Brandon Golson of Georgia Military has ended his recruiting activities and is planning to sign with USC, assuming the Gamecocks will still take him. "He's going to shut it down and stay committed," Golson's high school coach at Calhoun County Walt Wilson said. "He realizes this is a business and not a game. I've been trying to get in touch with (USC recruiter) Coach Robinson and tell him he's shutting it down. That's my indication. The kid is going to Carolina. To go thru all he's gone thru, he really wants to go to Carolina." Golson signed with USC out of high school but did not qualify and went to prep school. There, he got his grades up to the NCAA qualifying standard but USC did not admit him. He then briefly went to Louisville before leaving for the junior college. Golson visited Texas A&M. earlier this summer and also considered Arizona, Tennessee and Kansas State.
