Uiagalelei infamously struggled with simple quarterback mechanics last season. It resulted in just 2,246 yards and nine touchdowns through the air with 10 picks.

There had been reports the Clemson quarterback took a big step forward this offseason, specifically with his footwork. But those improvements didn’t manifest themselves during the Tigers’ spring game.

Uiagalelei is still dealing with a few “serious issues” mechanics-wise, per PFF’s Anthony Treash.

“biggest takeaway from Clemson’s spring game is that there are still some serious issues with DJ’s mechanics,” he said on Twitter.

Clemson's defense still has great players, but Venables is gone.

DJU still has some issues and Tony Elliott is gone this year after the Taters told him last season on social media to go back to selling insurance after losing a generational QB in Trevor Lawrence.

This is the year Clemson comes back down to Earth and we get significantly better and get the win in November.
