You’ll have to forgive Gamecock fans for being all jacked up after a surprising first season under Shane Beamer. There’s hope now, and for good reason. Oklahoma QB Spencer Rattler is taking over the offense behind a strong line, but the O has to be great early until the D rebuilds a bit.

"It might have been a down year by Clemson’s high standards, but the defense was the best in the ACC. It was the offense that struggled, but there’s way too much talent around to not be a whole lot better. There might be changes in the coaching staff, and DJ Uiagalelei has to be stronger, but the defense is about to be special again."

I think that's a pretty generous #5 for the Taters.

Sure, their D will be pretty good, but I think the offense will stumble enough to keep them out of the ACC Championship (with the resulting CFP bid).

They ragged on Tony Elliott last year and then he told them, "Screw you guys, I'm gonna be the head coach at UVA."

I think you're gonna see a lot of odd, low-scoring games from Clemson this year.

Looking forward to Shane getting us a long-overdue win over the Taters this year. A strong winning season, beat the Taters, and a decent bowl game are realistic expectations this season.
