Last Week: 3-1. Overall: 23-9, 5-7 in SEC. (3-3 vs. Top 25). Weekend Series: 6-2.

South Carolina won its second consecutive series against a division foe, taking two of three from the Volunteers. Michael Roth (6.1 IP, 6 H, 3 ER, 0 BB, 3 K) was solid in a no-decision for South Carolina. The Gamecocks broke a 1-1 tie in the ninth Saturday, as Connor Bright singled leading off the inning and went on to score the winning run on L.B. Dantzler's RBI single. Freshman lefty Jordan Montgomery (8 IP, 3 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, 7 K) retired 12 in a row at one point during his first career SEC start.
