Very excited about the possibilities for Shaw this year. When you look at what he did in 2011, I think you can argue that it was one of the best season performances by a QB in USC history. He went 8-1 as a starter, passed for 1,448 yards (14 TD, 6 INT, 65.4%), and rushed for 525 yards (8 TD). Plus, he had to bounce back from a shaky start against ECU, not to mention replace an all-time fan favorite in Garcia. One of the keys to 2012 will be Shaw finding a "go-to" receiver (or receivers) in place of Alshon. Sanders has been very solid the last two years, and we have a lot of young talent at the WR position (interested to see what Roland can do).

The big question, in my opinion, is who will step up to become a dependable #2 QB behind Shaw. I think Thompson has the potential to be a solid player, and McEvoy is very intriguing given his size (6'6) and talent. The wild card could be incoming freshman Nosovitch, who is similar to Shaw in that he is effective with both his arm and legs. It will be interesting to see how everything plays out in a few months.

Connor had a good year but I wouldn't say it was one of the best ever in school history. Let's see him put it together an entire year before we crown him one of our best QB's ever. If he stays healthy over an entire year I think he could be one of our best QB's ever. Also, Garcia certainly isn't the "all time" favorite QB in Carolina history.
