Coordinator Wednesday with DC Clayton White and OC Marcus Satterfield

Gamecocks coordinators Marcus Satterfield (offense) and Clayton White (defense) met with the media, Wednesday, as they continue to prepare their units for this weekend’s game against Texas A&M (3-3, 1-2).
South Carolina enters the game on a roll, having won its last three games, including a hard-fought 24-14 victory at Kentucky. Like the Wildcats, A&M plays a physical style and has a reputation for leaving opponents winded and weary. After reviewing the film, Satterfield came away impressed with the Aggies’ size, “Look at the personnel, it starts up front with those guys, just a massive, athletic, lengthy defensive line that wrecks fronts and wrecks game plans. and their corners look like linebackers.”
The Gamecocks' offense will counter that imposing size with a group of speedy playmakers and a running game that has found its footing, averaging 219.7 yards on the ground over the last three outings. The passing attack has been inconsistent but has all the pieces in quarterback Spencer Rattler, wideout Antwane Wells, Jr., and versatile Jaheim Bell to threaten the Aggies down the field.
Defensively, the Gamecocks (4-2, 1-2) are coming off what might have been their best performance of the season in limiting Kentucky to 14 points on just 299 yards. Texas A&M wore White’s group out last season in a 44-14 victory, but the Gamecocks are far healthier and more experienced this time around.
