Shane Beamer on his call-in show: Luke Doty's "getting there" in terms of getting back to his pre-injury self. Feels the best he's felt since it happened.

Beamer updating Zeb Noland's status: "Zeb is fine. He could've played last week. He practiced today." Reiterated what he said about Luke Doty earlier this week that he's working back to get 100% there with his speed again but is getting better by the day.

My sense of things so far this season is that Shane has successfully focused on defense first to avoid being shelled by UGA, then he had to make sure the visit for his recruits went well.

Hopefully he turns his attention to the offense the next couple of weeks and we get to watch some great Gamecock football again.

I am not as blindly optimistic as I was before the UGA and UK games, but I still believe Shane will have us playing better ball sooner than most people think.

That sounds like a reasonable assessment, to me. I did get caught up in my own sunshine pumping optimism, and was a bit disappointed after the KY game, but having thought through it more, I’m ok with where we are headed. But I am still very pissed that we lost to KY again.
