I believe we played like a top ten team yesterday. I was really impressed with the way the whole team played and fed off each other.

Oline- improved big time from week 1 to week 2. I think moving Brandon Shell to RT was a good move for him, he seemed a lot more comfortable on that side. I also like the way Shawn Elliot is rotating guys in on the Oline, we are building depth and experience, which something we lacked in the past.

WR/TE I liked the fact that multiple receivers made plays. Bruce came up very big for us, and I was very happy to see Byrd make a great catch and burn the db down the field. It was good to see Moore and Smith come up big yesterday as well, i believe they will get better and better as the season progresses. We also gave a lot of young guys some game time experience which will pay off in the future. Our TEs did very well, Anderson is a very good route runner and has some very good second level speed for his size. Cunningham is one of the best all-around TE's i have seen. He goes 100% every play blocking/route running/catching the ball. It was good to see Roland make some catches. He is a very good athlete already, and still has a very high ceiling to reach.

RB I think we should RS Bwilds. We have 3 backs in latt, miles, and davis. There is no reason to play Wilds this season and waste a year of eligibility. Lattimore's numbers might not show this season, but thats because every team we play will not want to get beat by Lattimore, they will stack the box. This opens up the passing game and will allow Shaw to make more plays with his feet. Mike Davis is going to be a good one, he has size, speed, and some shake and bake. Kenny Miles is very underrated. He gets better and better as the season goes on and makes big plays when we need them. He is one of the most unselfish people I have ever seen ( a true team player who loves his teammates and coaches).

QB Dylan Thompson clearly gained a lot of confidence this week in preparation for this game and even more with the performance he had yesterday. The coaches put together a great game-plan for DT. Now we know we have someone that can go in and get the job done if his number is called.

Dline- was very impressed with the effort form everyone on the Dline. Didnt see any loafing. Dline didnt get many sacks but they affected the QB and were responsible for most/if not all turnovers. They got in Rio Johnsons face/got their hands up, which didnt allow him to step into his throws and forced bad decisions and passes. We also got a lot of young guys some reps. I was really impressed with the Dixon bros and Darius English out of the young guys on the dline.

LB- having all seniors out there along with Devonte Holloman at spur is a blessing. This is the best overall linebacking core we have had at usc. They are all experienced and are very smart football players.

secondary- they have shown they were not the weak point this week. The dline did help them out but they made big plays when their number was called. Jimmy Legree is a diamond in the rough. He seems like his confidence is growing each game and looks like he could be one of the best overall players on the team this year. Hampton is filling the shoes of the loss of gilmore. Dj Swearinger is Dj Swearinger, hardest hitter on the team, 100% every play, natural leader who makes big plays in big time moments. Brison Williams looks very good back there beside DJ. He has made great strides from last season to this season.

This game was very good overall. We got a lot of players involved and a lot of young guys experience. We have a lot of quality depth on this team and everyone seems to be unselfish and true team players. This is a great coaching staff we have. Not only do we reload on the field now but we reload in the coaching staff. Spurrier has built us a very attractive football program here in columbia sc. We as fans need to stay at the games longer and support them through 4 quarters. I left at the end of the third quarter but after listening to spurriers post game conference, he is right. The players and coaches deserve our support all 4 quarters.
