Jumping up on soapbox to just express an opinion.
Dabo always has something to say and for some reason seems to always inject himself into any situation. When he lost to Syracuse he just had to go in their locker room. When was the last time a losing coach went into the winners locker room? Why? To express how they beat a great team and should be proud, I think they understood that without him coming to the locker room. Now we get a new coach and before he has one full day the sports media is out there quoting Dabo about our new coach. Lets not get into the FL State mess he could not stop talking about. All that BS about playing the game now the ACC masters are giving him a pass no more games for him or the gold domes till the ACC championship. Every body else in the ACC plays but not them.
A friend of mine pointed out that in PGA golf on the 18 hole the winner always takes off his cap to the losers. He also pointed out if you ever watch Clemson pregame Dabo will walk up to the opposing coach and take off his cap. I guess as a sign I am the winner and you are the loser?
Ever notice how at end of a game he always grabs the losing coach and seems to hold on and leans in for a rather long goodby, just watch the losing coaches face.
Don't get me wrong he has a winning formula for staff, recruiting, game planning and winning games. Which is most satisfying for most coaches but not him. One way you could look at this is he finds ways to keep his team up front in the news cycle. The other is well.....ego.
Keep in mind my opinion may be entirely wrong, just judge for yourself. draw your own conclusions.
