Damecocks offers 4-star linebacker linebacker Dontavious Jackson

South Carolina continued its busy recruiting day offering Texas four-star linebacker Dontavious Jackson, Jackson said on his Twitter account:

Jackson is rated the No. 9 inside linebacker in the class of 2016 according to Rivals.com. He holds offers from Florida, Alabama and LSU among others.
South Carolina is jumping in the game a bit late though. Jackson announced a final seven in November that did not include South Carolina. It is unclear at this early point whether Jackson will add the Gamecocks to that list.
Will Muschamp’s presence certainly might change things. While Auburn was not among that original final list from a month ago, Muschamp is well known for recruiting and coaching defenses. His move to South Carolina may make enough waves to get into the running.
