My take: this isn't good for us, because Mullen's replacement will surely be someone who puts more investment into recruiting, which Mullen did not. He always thought he could coach up any 3 star into playing like a 5 star. Will be interested to see who gets the call. Kiffin will absolutely be one of the names mentioned, I would think? And what about a wildcard like Deion Sanders, who could return to his home state and get in virtually every door?

 
Based on the coaches mentioned in the  article, I don’t see Florida hiring Franklin, that just doesn’t make sense to me. I also don’t see Kiffin going to Florida from Ole Miss. it wouldn’t look good for him and he’s starting to get things cooking in Mississippi, but it is Kiffin, he may leave tomorrow, who knows. 
I don’t think Florida fans will want a coordinator without HC experience, but I’ve been wrong many times before. 
I am surprised Mullen didn’t do better than he did.

The name I am hearing is that it could be Billy Napier, but he is waiting for L.S.U. to say no  he really wants the L.S.U. job 

 
If Bill O'brien were to leave Alabama do you think Saban would take Mullen as an OC?  Saban is the great career resurrector.

I don't know if Mullen's ego could handle it - I bet he sits a year and then takes a second-tier job like Kiffin did to begin his resurrection.

speaking of O'Brien - I can't believe that Oregon would recycle Chip Kelly instead of hiring him. Just baffling to me.
