3 star DB Chris Murphy 5'10" 175lbs of Marietta, GA has offers from North Carolina, Purdue, Vanderbilt, Oklahoma State, Virginia, Connecticut, Utah, Missouri and West Virginia among others with interest from USC, Arkansas, Michigan, Penn State and Boise State. Murphy is showing interest in the Gamecocks though he has not heard from them recently. "I've been hearing from a lot of schools and I think I'm going to pick up several more offers in the next week," he said. "But I haven't talked to South Carolina in a few weeks." He spoke with G.A. Mangus at that time. "He really just told me about the program and stuff like that," said Murphy. "I'm still interested in them." This off-season, he has visited Oklahoma State, Tennessee, Louisville, Kentucky, NC State, Wake Forest and North Carolina. "I am booking a trip to Missouri right now," he added. Murphy plans to narrow his list to five this spring and plans to commit when his team's spring practice concludes. He did not name a leader.
