DB Israel Mukuamu of Bossier City, LA is closing in on his decision which he will announce at his former school, Berkley High School, on July 24th at 11:00 AM.  He is down to USC, Florida State, Oklahoma State and Indiana and before making the decision Mukuamu will get one final look at USC.  He confirmed Thursday night his plans to attend Will Muschamp’s final camp of the summer on July 21st.

“I’ve been in touch with Coach Muschamp and he wanted me to come camp for him,” Mukuamu said.  “He said they know they fell off a little bit since I moved and they really want me to be there and just want me to give them a chance.  I really like them a lot and when I get down there I’ll talk to Coach Muschamp and the whole staff more and see where it goes from there.”

Mukuamu camped at Clemson in June but he said he’s not heard from the Tigers since then.  He said Florida State, Oklahoma State and Indiana are keeping in regular contact.  He’s also considering a visit to Georgia next week.

Internet speculation recently has had Florida State as the leader for Mukuamu though he’s never said that.

“Everybody is pretty much tied right now,” he said.  “It will be probably where I just feel most at  home, where I feel very comfortable at.  I like all the schools but the one that’s going to pull it out is where I can see myself playing and feel comfortable and be happy there.”

Mukuamu said he’ll probably make his decision next week but won’t tell the school in advance of his announcement.
