4 star DB Kaleb Chalmers 5'10" 168lbs of Greenwood has what he calls a "soft offer" from USC but that didn't diminish his excitement about being at the Florida game Saturday night in Columbia. "It was great," Chalmers said. "It was a good visit overall. I had a good talk with coach Mangus. I enjoyed the visit overall. I watched the secondary and they played pretty good overall. It was a great atmosphere." That was Chalmers' second game visit to USC this season. He was also in for Vanderbilt and plans to be back for the Clemson game. As for USC's interest, Chalmers said, "It's a soft offer. They have offered me but it's a soft offer." Chalmers said he really couldn't explain what a "soft offer" is. His father went with him to USC and spoke more with Mangus about it. Chalmers also has offers from Clemson, Tennessee, Georgia Tech, Duke, Stanford, North Carolina and Georgia Southern. He does not have a favorite at this point and there is no order with the schools right now.
