After committing to Florida State last month, DE Michael Barnett of Woodland has no plans to take any other visits. He still hears from Clemson and USC but said that contact is only mail.
Last season the Gamecocks were able to flip DL Dexter Wideman of Saluda who was a longtime Seminoles commit. That does not appear likely with Barnett.
“I’m not taking any more visits,” Barnett said. “I like everything about the facilities and the coaching staff with the success they’ve had.”
Barnett had made it clear early in the recruiting process he favored leaving the state and actually committed first to Virginia Tech. He later backed off that only to commit to Florida State last month.. He plans to take an official visit to Florida State during the season.
