Decision day arrives for USC receiver target Kelvin Harmon
Oct. 1, 2015
Wide receiver Kelvin Harmon of Palmyra, N.J., is set to announce his college choice Thursday. A 2:30 p.m. ceremony is scheduled at Palmyra High.
Harmon has South Carolina, NC State, North Carolina, West Virginia, Temple and Rutgers on his short list. He visited all of them, with USC and NC State getting official visits.
His USC visit was last weekend. Harmon declined interviews afterward, wanting to save all of his comments for after his announcement Thursday.
“It’s been tough for him I think,” said Palmyra coach Jack Geisel. “He’s had a lot of choices. Typical of any 18 year old, it’s a life experience hopefully you’ve enjoyed. My feeling has been since the middle of the summer he was probably leaning towards South Carolina or NC State. Other than that, your guess is as good as mine.”
Geisel said NC State was in to see Harmon last week and Rutgers was due in on Tuesday.
Harmon had to sit out the first game of the season. In the second game he had eight catches for 100 yards.
