Fort Scott (Kan.) Community College four-star defensive tackle Abu Lamin has been committed to South Carolina since the summer but took an official visit to Tennessee over the weekend to be sure of his decision.
“It was a real good visit,” the 6-foot-4, 325 pounder said. “Of course they showed me all the good parts of their program and it was my first major college game, so it was exciting. But it was still just another visit for me. I went up there for a good time and I got what I went for.”
Since the visit, Lamin has made a decision on his future.
“I’m 100 percent Gamecock,” he said. “Nothing has changed. I’m still ‘A1’ with with South Carolina and coach (Deke) Adams. That’s where I’ll be in January.”
Lamin is ranked by 247Sports as the nation’s No. 6 junior-college defensive tackle in the 2014 class and will have three years to play three at South Carolina.
