That we absolutely need to be a run team first? I thought after the first half against UCF maybe he realized that MD28 needs way more touches but seemed to forget again in the 2nd half against Tenn. Yes MD28 was stuffed multiple times Saturday for no gain but you have to take some of that due to his home run threat. He is way to valuable to our team. I hope Saturday spurrier will line up in the I and get mike some runs on the outside, mix it up please. Every run play out of the shotgun gets old and defenses really key in on it. Go Cocks Beat Mizzou!

USC ran it more than they threw against Tennessee.

Want to know why USC lost the game?

Turnovers (USC had 2, UT had none) and field position (most drives in the first half started inside the USC 20 yard line) combined with poor execution (drops, miss blocks, and QB taking off too soon).

Spurrier knows he has a horse back there. He reads the stat sheets after the game. But he needs to call the game the way he sees fit. He even said after the game that he should've called more pass plays and I agree. He tried to hang on for dear life at the very end instead of being aggressive like he has for almost the entire season.
