Way back when Clemson was a military school 100 years ago Carolina and Clemson game came close to a shoot out when Carolina was making fun of them after a win. Clemson got there guns came to Columbia the South Carolina students got there pistols and the future president of USC shouted out make your shots count because they SC had fewer weapons. They did not shoot them but came close after that the 2 did not play each other for 8 years. If not for the 8 years the rivalry would be the longest running in the NCAA. Save my life cannot remember who the future USC school president was. Maybe someone else can fill it in.

Rivalry on fire: USC’s annual Tiger Burn pep rally is Monday night

According to a piece from The Daily Gamecock, it takes about 30 engineering students to put together the model tiger, “using wood and metal for the skeleton and paper and poultry wire for the decoration.” There will be live music and food trucks after the Monday night burn, per an email from USC.
