Clemson and USC have already offered 3 star junior QB Avery McCall (6-0 195) of Dillon but that does not complete his offer sheet. LSU, Tennessee, North Carolina, Duke and East Carolina also have offered.

McCall does not have any early favorites but is pleased with the offers from the Gamecocks and Tigers.

“It feels pretty good to have both in-state schools offer me,” McCall said. “They’re both really good programs.”

And USC could have a slight advantage early because of his familiarity with the program.

“They’re a good school, just like Clemson,” he said. “And it’s close to home. I went there and it has a good campus…a good everything. The coaches are great and they make me feel like I’m at home. They have great fans and a great atmosphere there.”

He did not omit Clemson from the conversation, however.

“I could see myself playing there,” McCall said. “They’re a good school and they’ve got a good team. I haven’t talked to their coaches as much (as USC’s coaches). I want to get up there for a visit.”

McCall visited East Carolina last weekend and may visit USC this Saturday. The Pirates had an impressive performance in front of McCall.

“They’ve got a good atmosphere and great coaches,” he said. “All of these schools do though, really.”

He named North Carolina as another school he would like to visit this season.

McCall has nearly 1,000 yards passing this season and 12 touchdowns through four games. His Dillon squad is undefeated in that span.

He does not have any favorites.
