2020 Gamecock Recruiting class is full and has a nice diversity overall. Likely the Gamecocks will sign 18 to 20 kids due to the high volume of grad transfers. Here is a link to the guys Gamecocks have offered so far. LINK to 2021 Gamecock offer sheet.
We have 11 current commits to the 2021 class. Folks were thinking that this class may not be a strong class for us even before the coronavirus hit, due to the thin talent in-state for this cycle, and it may be playing out as we expected. Only one composite 4-star or higher rated prospect thus far, in OLB Trenilyas Tatum. So, with half of the class probably secured, we're just inside the top 50 national rankings (at #50th). We have a number of 4-star rated prospects that are "warm" to us, such as WDE Kelvin Gilliam, TE Michael Trigg, ILB Greg Penn III, RB Jaylin White, and WR Keon Coleman. Coleman in particular, just came out with a top 3 of USC, Kansas, and Oklahoma:
With Blake's commitment earlier today we have 2 WR prospects in the class, but we could bring in another, who knows. Either way, it seems we still have some room for some recruiting excitement left in the cycle.....
