This kid deserves to be on the field somehow. He is the MAYO BOWL MVP.

Pretty competitive WR room right now; Vann doesn't seem to be getting his usual PT now.

Juice and Jaylen seem to have the hot hand right now and DK had his share of crucial drops last year.

The schedule is going to be pretty tough from here on out; maybe Satt and Shane are holding him in reserve in case Rattler gets hurt.

It seems like we are trying to establish the run to get the OL trued-up, too, instead of relying on gadget plays.

Rattler was 18-4 as a starter at OK when Shane was there and led the Sooners to a conference championship and bowl win in 2020. Rattler has made some bad decisions, but maybe a HC would want to use a QB like that to evaluate your OC that has been struggling and has a contract up for renewal this year.

Having said all of the above, the moon is cheese. I don't know.

Rattler has a completion percentage to date of 69.1%, so almost 70%. His big knock is interceptions -- and he has made a few boneheaded throws, but he also has been ill served by some of his receivers. Leggette was responsible for two tipped passes into interceptions in the SC State game.

Quarterback hasn't been the problem with our offense this year. O-line determines the success of our offense. At times, they have been wildly ineffective, neither run blocking nor pass blocking well. All too often our RB's are met by the defense three yards deep in our backfield. Rarely is Rattler able to stand in a pocket with time to progress beyond the check-down option, and almost never does he have time to let deep patterns develop.

It is what it is, but I'm increasingly starting to believe it's the schematics and their complexity.
