4 star DL Abu Lamin 6'5" 320lbs of Fort Scott JC, KS moved USC to the front of his list last weekend after making an unofficial visit and the Gamecocks are maintaining that advantage. "I'm getting lots of love love from the Gamecock fans," Lamin said Thursday night. "They really want me to be a Gamecock. It's looking like I'm going to be a Gamecock. I'm going to Arkansas July 19th. They are going to try to flip my mind but right now the Gamecocks are my number one. It's a really, really strong lead. I'm from Fayetteville, NC and that's about two hours away (from Columbia). My folks can come see me play and they are the only SEC team in the Carolinas. To me, that's a big, big plus." Lamin plans to visit Georgia July 12th and he also plans to visit Tennessee during his bye week this season. He's also been to Florida and Auburn. He's not sure when he'll make his decision. It could come before the season, midway thru or after the season. Lamin talked with USC recruiter Deke Adams Wednesday. "Me and coach Adams have a connection," he said. "We talk like I'm already on the team. He's excited about me and he wants me to be a Gamecock."
