DL Kwammelle Barnes ready for more visits

With the end of the season upon DL Kwammelle Barnes of Saluda, his focus is turning to taking more visits. Barnes has an offer from SC State and is waiting to see if more offers will come his way. "It could come from anywhere," he said. "It could come from a school that I've never even heard of so I don't want to guess who will be the next to offer me." He does not have any favorites but enjoyed his visit to SC State. "It surprised me to tell you the truth," Barnes said. "I didn't realize how intense it gets down there. We watched the band at half-time and it was really intense." His other visits were to USC, LSU and Appalachian State. "I still get mail from USC about three times a week and I still keep in touch with coach (G.A.) Mangus on the phone," he said. The next visit Barnes would like to take is to NC State later this month. "I want to go up there on the 23rd," he said. "I've sent them my highlight tape so I need to get up there and talk to to some people." He plans to take other visits following the college football season but is unsure of which schools he would like to see. Barnes does not have a date for a decision but did say he would like to make it sometime on January.
