3 star DL Michael Preddy (6-5 250) of Porter Gaud would like to make his decision prior to August. He has several offers that include Georgia Tech, Louisville, Rutgers, Wake Forest and Charlotte with interest from Clemson, USC, NC State and Maryland. He named Louisville, Wake Forest, Charlotte and Georgia Tech has his top schools in no order. "I want to find a school that has a good balance of athletics and academics because my mom is a school teacher and academics are important to her," said Preddy. The Gamecocks and Tigers have invited him to attend camps this summer but Preddy said that is very unlikely. "I'm going to visit Rutgers and Maryland this summer," said Preddy. "USC and Clemson probably aren't in play with me right now." Preddy has visited several schools and probably will not return for second visits. "I think I've seen what I need to see at those schools to make a decision," he said. He does not have a leader.
