DL Poona Ford chooses Louisville

DL Poona Ford of Hilton Head announced Tuesday his intentions to attend Louisville next season. At a announcement ceremony at his high school Tuesday night, Ford chose the Cardinals over USC, Ohio State, Kansas State, Ole Miss and Tennessee among others. The commitment comes as no surprise as Ford has spoken about the importance of early playing time. Discussing his visit to Louisville earlier this season, Chris Cox of The Island Packet quoted Ford saying, "I went up there for a visit and they talked to me about coming in my freshman year and playing the very first game at home against Miami." The Hilton Head product is being hailed as one of the top recruits in Louisville's 2014 class.
