Does anyone know what decade the work on I-20

The answer to completion dates for both I-20 and I-26 is in all likelihood long after our deaths...probably right around the time everyone starts flying those little Jetson-mobiles.

That sounds right...we won't need interstates by then.

I believe that the pandemic delayed completion of I20 mm 50-58 until next year or early 2023.

The Carolina Crossroads (ie Malfunction Junction) project is years away from completion. I think that one is projected to be 2028.

I don't get how repair and new road construction work is allocated and financed.

Greenville just finished another big project @385/85 along with lots construction on going north on 85. Just returned from Charleston, first visit in about two years lots of construction but I think they need a lot more. I-26 East is a mess the road is awful. In SC I understand road money is in short supply but I think that was the reason for the gas tax. The widening of 26 west will be nice when it finished, lets hope in our lifetime they finish it all the way to Fountain Inn where 3 lanes start.

I moved away in 1998 to Mississippi and returned to SC in 2014. During the time frame of 2012 to my last trip back (2014) Bama was able to get enough federal money to widen and replace bridges on I-20 from GA line to just past Tuscaloosa. How? My guess that is multiple BILLIONS of dollars worth of work. We need work on the death trap sections of 26 and 95 and can't get it , again, why?

Stepping off my uninformed soap box.
