3 star Junior WR JJ Arcega-Whiteside (6-3 205) of Dorman finished his season with 75 catches for 1500 yards and 14 touchdowns. He has been offered by Appalachian State and Elon while Clemson, USC, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Georgia Tech, Duke and East Carolina are interested. He has been to USC, Clemson, Charlotte and North Carolina for games. He was at Clemson for the Florida State game and USC for the Kentucky game. "They are both following me and want me to come to games," Arcega-Whiteside said. He is going to Appalachian State this weekend and will be at the Clemson-USC game. Right now he feels North Carolina is recruiting him the hardest and thinks they will offer. His mother is a former star basketball player at Appalachian and he likes the Mountaineers but does not have a clear favorite. Both of his parents played pro basketball and he, too, is a standout hoopster, but he plans to play college football in college.
