Elite 2018 WR Jahan Dotson receives Gamecocks offer
May 25, 2016
Jahan Dotson is already a name that is known around recruiting circles. Ranked as a four-star recruit by the major databases, Dotson, a rising junior from Nazareth (Penn.), has a bevy of offers including Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, Miami (Fla.), Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Southern Cal, and Texas A&M. That's some pretty stiff competition for the South Carolina Gamecocks, who extended an offer to the 5'10", 157-pound WR - his 24th offer. Dotson is certainly a player that makes his presence known wherever he plays on the field: as a sophomore, he racked up 66 catches for 1,179 yards and 16 touchdowns, while adding two kick returns for a touchdown and another one on the ground. Did we mention his four picks?
Dotson's certainly a player to keep a watch on as his recruiting is set to explode even more if he puts together another solid season like the one he did this past fall. Although he played for a team that only went 6-6 last year, the fact that he's getting so many big-time offers speaks volumes of his talent. And that last point is very notable, as well: Dotson will be playing for Peddie School in New Jersey in an attempt to boost his athletic and academic profile.
