Elite North Carolina RB commit Adarius Lemons headlines Tuesday prospect list at Muschamp Camp

July 19, 2016

COLUMBIA, S.C. — The Tuesday edition of the Will Muschamp Football Camp features several notable prospects from the 2017, 2018 and 2019 classes.

Among the headliners is 3-star DT Kane Taylor, who’s up from Clearwater High School (Fla.) with 4-star North Carolina commitment Adarius Lemons, the No. 7 running back in the class of 2017. Also with the group is 2018 DE Chaz Neal of Armwood High School in Seffner, Fla.

All three list an offer from South Carolina.

So does 2017 WR Justin Marshall, who was watching the morning portion of camp. Marshall, a 3-star prospect from Covington, Ga., camped with the Gamecocks in June. He was chatting with wide receivers coach Bryan McClendon before the Tuesday session began.

After camping on Monday, 2019 OLB/DE Mikel Jones is back for some more work Tuesday. The Champagnat Catholic (Hialeah, Fla.) has an offer from Clemson. South Carolina might jump into the mix if Muschamp gives his approval.

“It was pretty good the coaches gave me good feedback and coach (Travaris) Robinson told me to come back (Tuesday) so I camp perform in front of Coach Muschamp,” Jones told SEC Country on Monday night.

Muschamp, of course, was at ESPN headquarters Monday.

Jones and his two teammates will makes stops at Florida State, Florida and Miami, before calling their college tour a wrap. Jones was impressive Sunday at Miami’s showcase camp.

Two more 2017 prospects, OLB T.J. Minnifee and DT Ben Hutch are on campus today. Minnifee, a 2-star prospect from Lebanon, Tenn., picked up an offer from South Carolina earlier this summer at a satellite camp in Nashville. Hutch, a 3-star prospect from Nashville, could be in the mix for an offer this afternoon.

The same goes for Berkeley safety Israel Mukuamu, a 2018 prospect who’s joined by a teammate, 2017  QB Darius Douglas.

Other notable guests today include 2019 prospect Jeremy Smith, a 6-foot, 185-pound running back from Jenkins High School in Savannah, and 2019 QB Trace Dorminy, who’s from Porter-Gaud School in Charleston, S.C
