Is there an easier way to embed a youtube video than opening up "source" and pasting HTML code?  A YouTube button or icon maybe, that I am totally missing?

You actually just showed me how to fix my YouTube viewer size issue, so I will repay the favor.

Click the Share link underneath video on the YT site and copy the path that comes up.  You will notice this path is actually different than the one in the address navigation box in your browser.

Then just paste the path into the Reply text editor, give it a few seconds and the conversion will be done for you.

Perfect.  Thanks for the information.  Figured there had to be an easier method.  Rep sent.

How DO you change the Viewer size?

How DO you change the Viewer size?
I'm sure KoN will explain it much better than I, especially since I just stumbled upon it while trying to figure out how to embed YouTube videos.  I right clicked on the YT video and selected "copy embed code".  Then in the Reply box in the Forum, clicked on the Source button and pasted the code.  Within the code itself, you can see Width numbers as well as Height numbers, which can be changed.  You can change either or both, but would recommend that you keep the same aspect ratio.

I'm looking forward to KoN's post this evening.  One site suggestion for a Moderator...these How To posts might be collected into a single thread that is pinned somewhere for new members to find and employ.  Just speaking for the influx of CTers, there are a lot of technical differences between this site and our former site...so I'm pretty sure any helpful explanations would be appreciated.  Maybe also a quick write up of site traditions/benefits...like the VIP forum.

360p is the standard format for YouTube now and it used to be 240p.

360p for a wide-screen 16:9 format would use Width = 640, Height = 360.

This will give you the best viewer size for most YouTube videos and is what I have used in the ones I have posted recently.

I will explain in more detail later, but this should help you a good bit until then.
