Very deserved - he leads South Carolina's defense in total tackles, leads the SEC in solo tackles, and also is the top freshman in the conference currently in total tackles with 51, with the next SEC freshman behind him from LSU having 37. Nationally, Emmanwori leads CFB freshmen in solo tackles just ahead of FIU's Demetrius Hill's 40, and is the 3rd-highest freshman in FBS in total tackles behind Hill's 71, and New Mexico's A.J. Haucy's 61 total tackles. And he wasn't even a projected starter when the season began.....
