Coming off the Gamecock Showcase Saturday, USC on Sunday afternoon is in position to land commitments from a pair of offensive linemen. 2017 OL Eric Douglas (6-4 275) of Charlotte participated Saturday with teammate OL TJ Moore (6-6 270) and both picked up offers from the Gamecocks. Douglas camped at Clemson Sunday morning. But the word he’s given his close friend Moore is he plans to commit soon to the Gamecocks. “Me and Eric were talking about it last night. Eric said he’s going to commit but I don’t think I’m going to commit yet. I’m going to wait. That’s his dream school and I think he’s going to go thru with it. He wants to go to South Carolina, I want to go to Michigan.” Moore said he and Douglas are going to North Carolina Friday and NC State Saturday. He is also hearing from Clemson, Wake Forest, Florida State, Alabama, Michigan, Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech.

OL Will Putnam of Harrisburg, NC said Sunday afternoon USC is now his clear favorite after attending yesterday’s camp. He has also been thinking strongly about Virginia Tech. North Carolina could become a factor with an offer and he’s going there for Freak Night Friday. Putnam still wants to visit USC and Virginia Tech again this week, or at least have lengthy phone calls with recruiters from each. If North Carolina does not offer, he said he could make his commitment next Sunday.

2017 WR James Robinson of Lakeland, FL camped at Clemson over the weekend and told 247Sports he now favors the Tigers. Ohio State, Florida and Tennessee also are strongly in the mix for hm.
