Florida linebacker considering USC after junior day visit

3 star LB Jonathan Jones 6'1" 210lbs of Orlando attended USC’s junior day in late January and plans to give the Gamecocks a look though right now he has a top three of Michigan, Duke and Kentucky.
“I loved the experience,” he said of his USC visit. “They are showing a lot of interest. I want to go to school for business and their International Business School is ranked #1,
and that sits well with me.”
Jones plays Mike and Sam linebacker and had 120 tackles with 5 sacks last season. He, cf course, spent time with the Gamecock defensive staff and left with clear understanding of their impression of him.
“They said I definitely look like I know the game and would have a good chance at starting,” Jones said. “They like the way I hit and the way I come down hill.”
Jones said he last heard from USC late last week when his offer was made. Though the Gamecocks are not in his current top three, Jones said they will be considered thru the recruiting process. He hopes to make his decision by the end of the spring.
Jones also plans to attend junior days at Miami and Duke. He also has offers from Central Florida, West Virginia, Louisville, NC State, Florida Atlantic and others.
