WR MJ Jarrell 6'2" 183lbs of Orlando is a recent offer recipient from USC and he will return the Gamecocks interest in kind with a visit to the campus this weekend.  Jarrell’s mother is from Manning and they plan to spend the weekend in the state with a good bit of their time to be spent learning more about the Gamecocks.

“I don’t know much, that’s why I’m going on the visit,” Jarrell said.  “I’m very interested.  They are high up on my list.  They are a SEC school and the fans are crazy.”

Gamecock receivers coach Bryan McClendon has been working Jarrell along with area recruiter Coleman Hutzler. He said it didn’t take long for McClendon to get in touch with him once he got a look at his skills.

“They say they are very interested and they really need a playmaker at the receiver position,” Jarrell said.  “Once he (McClendon) saw my film he hit me up the same day.  He said I love what you do and I want to offer you.  My playmaking ability made him pull the trigger.  He said he also like my character.  He came and checked on me at school and I was working  with the challenge kids in the PE class and he said that speaks about me as a person.”

Jarrell said right now USC, Virginia Tech, Maryland Duke are at the top of his list but he plans to release a top ten on Wednesday.  He has visited each of those four except for USC.
