Seems the boards are on fire. Just took a look at several of them. Well the only few left. But anyhow a lot of anger wanting to have Satterfield tard and feathered and run out of town on a pine. Looking at numbers money wise,  Beamer HC $2.75 million (5-year deal) lets break that down. hmm hire a very good OC on the cheap end 1 million if lucky most likely say 1.3 or more say 2 year contact  that's 2.6. no way you can hire a top notch OC here that would make more money then the HC.

No way asking for trouble and a dumpster fire to start.  This is what you call catch 22.  Best advice hope for the best expect less. But anyhow, those in search who do you hire that is proven winner to come here to take over the OC where coaches come to die? Not going to happen. Throw some names out their. This was a bargain hire with bargain coaches hoping that you hit a vain of gold. win Saturday over Vandy, Beat mizzu  and close out the season with a win over the Tatars. 6-6 could happen. All preseason prediction Gave at best a 4 win season and that is a very real expect right now.

Think it's way too soon to talk about firing coaches. At this point, get through the season and then evaluate. Canning anyone now is pointless. No way to institute a new offense mid season.

If anything the OL coach needs a good looking at, but after the season.

Yeah pulling triggers too quickly is a recipe for disaster. I'm all for giving this staff a mulligan this year.

Absolutely I agree.  Let's see what happens over the course of the next 6 games.  How does he/they recruit.  Go in to next year with some stability.  Give CSB time to get this going and develop his staff.  Evaluate after year 2.  Sure I and others may not be happy with the product on the field but we don't have a Jennie in a bottle.

Yeah to go four OC's in three years would just be stupid. 1) Tanner is never go to pressure CSB  to fire a new coach after only 6 games into the season. 2) CSB would never submit to pressure to fire Satterfield this early anyway.

Will be interesting to see if there are any end of season adjustments after an evaluation period.

I seem to recall that Satt only got a two-year deal when the rest got three.

At the time, it sounded like he was just planning on helping Shane out until he can find another gig.

He may leave after this season anyway.

Look, Shane got him off of a Panthers team that went 5-11 last year when he was one of their coaches.

Shane knew him and he had to fill a slot, but I don't think it's working out so far.

My understanding is Satt only has a two-year contract and Tanner should be fired if he were to give him an extension if we don't get any better the rest of the season.

I agree that is the reason of my post. Sit tight another half of season to play. Want to see the metal of this staff and players. From other sites just so many on the wagon ready to pounce.

Hey, everyone is talking about the O line, what about the  D  side of the ball it was just an bad day in Tennessee overall we left the best cover guy

at home.  With that said hey again the O line is on there  3rd  offensive coordinator in 3 years. I mean it's just too much South Carolina never has the money needed to go get the best assistant coaches.  IF anything the O line coach needs to be looked at and the offensive coordinator at the end of the year.    This is what you get when yo wholesale the position  coaches  if you going to go play big time ball with the big boys you have to get  the big time play makers face it Doty is just an average QB, lets' start there, and then the O line yes they were 4 stars coming out of high school most of them, but sometimes they just have not faced the talent you see in the SEC, yes they are experienced but again the talent is just not there.

O.K. next how about receivers they cannot get open, and it starts  with the talent level again, and the coaches at their position so with that .

Yes, we just might need an couple of extra O line Dudes next year bigger faster etc, everyone says it takes time to develop talent, I say bull there are plenty of teams right now playing freshmen at the O line Spot.   The Bottom line is most of the USC fans are just hoping for an quick  fix, hell there is not one There are so many issues here that they just can't be named I mean it's bad looks almost as bad as the first 2 years with Holtz. and if you have people on the board who is an Clemson Grad how do you expect to win. South Carolina is not serious about football never has been never will the board members hold all the monies.

I have an fix  go get the best O.C. mind in football whatever it takes, but again you can't  call the plays if you don't have the play makers  and we don't have them.

A lot is elbow reaction with many fans now. Frustrations have been mounting over the past 5 years and this is what you get striking out in anger, bad time to make decision. It is hard but those that are this will get you no where. . Need to find something to enjoy in your fall weekends like your wife girl friend. I prefer the girl friend could be a lot of fun for the weekends. :fantastic-smiley-emoticon:  Enjoy your Monday.

I was hoping they would be more exciting to watch, but record wise we are where I expected.  Just need some patience and he'll get it turned around.

Somehow finding a way to become bowl eligible and beat Clemson along the way would be a good season for us this year.

I believe Shane can get us to that point, but we're obviously not there yet.

The pattern I have watched the past several seasons is we start out okay, then hit a plateau or go negative while other teams start out bad but improve.

Stopping that consistent negative pattern, more than the record itself, would make a lot of people happy.

Hopefully, Shane and his staff can find a way to be more competitive the rest of the season, but the odds are against it.

Playing better at the midpoint and beyond of a season, any season, would certainly break the trends of recent seasons.

I want to believe that can happen this season, but we're just not there yet.

I disagree. First, Shane was a bad hire. Admit it now or Four years from now. We could have hire the Coach from Coastal. They are undefeated and with the exception of Ga would have beaten any team that we have played. I dont know why you can't fire an O-Line coach mid season. Auburn fired their wide receivers coach last week.

As far as taking time to turn things around, well.. look at Tenn. They seem to be getting better each week.

As far as beating Clemsux... well where are the points going to come from.

We MAY beat Vandy . After that well I don't see a win.

I have been in business for muself for forty years, I have never hesitated in firing someone who wasn't accomplishing their objectives.

While I am at it FIRE TANNER FIRST.

Excluding eastern Illinois we are averaging 17 ppg. We simply cannot keep up with any team in our conference at that level. (Other than Vandy).

unfortunately we are where we are and we have to live with it be bad or good cause he anent going nowhere as of now under Tanner. So hoping for the best ready for the lest. Get's to bad put up the sign gone fishing in Florida see you all in the spring.

OK... GONE FISHING...  SEE YOU COME BASEBALL SEASON AND HOPE FOE THE BEST
Hey I am waiting a few weeks. Never know man beat Vandy Mizzu never know beat Clemson then bowl then gone fishing in Florida.
