Former Gamecock player Syvelle Newton shares bold prediction for Kentucky game

Newton made a bold prediction with his pick while sticking with his Gamecocks:

I’m making a bold prediction we beat UK by 24! Fight Me

— Syvelle Newton (@syvellenewton) September 24, 2019

Bold indeed.

The problem isn't that we're incapable of that; I truly think this team is very capable of a 4 score victory over UK.

The problem is that I have a real hard time believing we'll have any sort of game plan that will let us win at all, let alone by 24. We'll see I guess. I truly hope Syvelle is right.

A win by any margin is a win but it would take a big performance like that to get this season back on track.

Sure I’m down with that.  I mean for all we know Mizzou is going to win the east and we finish 2nd.

We may be awesome and just don’t know it yet.

while it is theoretical to get up by 24, Mr Newton is ignoring the fact that we will fall into a ball control prevent offense that will allow Kentucky to come back and possibly win the game...

...that being said I have no confidence that we will win by any margin

Don't forget playing a safe defense and bringing zero pressure allowing the QB time to pick the defense apart. That is literally Muschamp's MO to this point at USC

Love the confidence.  I just don't see our D holding them 24 points below what our offense can score.  To be honest, I have very little confidence in our coordinators on both sides of the ball coming up with a game plan that can make that happen.  Hell, I barely have confidence they can game plan at all.

What is Syvelle's prediction for the next game in Athens? I sure liked the Ky prediction
