Former Gamecocks signee DL Jaquaze Sorrells announces he will not resume his football career at USC. He was not eligible to play at USC this season and did not enroll.

It's a big loss in the sens that he was a very talented DL that would have helped our defense for the next 3-4 years. And it's NOT a big loss in the sense that from all perspectives, it appeared Sorrells has academic issues that made him a prospect that was targeted more for the schools and programs that have the more relaxed academic requirements. The coaching staff just need to do a better job of understanding what type of academic athlete will be able to get into USC, and evaluating those more than the ones who can not or will not. Go Gamecocks!

I'm not really close to the situation, but I'm a little confused about his tweet.  He's committing to TCU because he can't attend school until January...

A). Does that mean he can't get into USC until January, but he can get into TCU before then?  And he believes he will get a playing opportunity 8 weeks into the current season?

B). He can't get into USC until January, and USC wanted him earlier...and there is no longer a scholarship open for him at SC?
