COLUMBIA, SC - Two players who starred for the Gamecocks in their Final Four run will meet again in the NBA. Sindarius Thornwell of the Los Angeles Clippers and PJ Dozier of the LA Lakers will play against each other in their NBA Summer League debuts on Friday in Las Vegas.
Thornwell, a Lancaster native, was the 48th pick in this year's draft. A day after the draft Dozier, out of Spring Valley High School, agreed to a deal with the Lakers.
The two former Gamecocks also worked out together for the Lakers before the draft. Now they will be starting their NBA careers in the same city.
The Lakers and Clippers will play this Friday, July 7 at 8:30 pm ET on ESPN in Las Vegas.
