Friday evening recruiting notes

Shrine Bowl ATH Yafari Werts of Newberry is now getting interest from USC and will make an official visit January 22nd according to TheBigSpur. USC recruiter Shawn Elliott has been in contact with Werts but has not offered. He is taking his official visit to Georgia Southern this weekend. USC Friday offered 2017 DE MJ Webb and 2018 LB Quinn Williams of Madison, GA according to TheBigSpur. Clemson also has offered Webb.
USC target TE Robert Tucker of Atlanta will visit Tulane this weekend and USC next week. He was just offered by USC earlier in the week.
Nation Ford TE Hank Tuipulotu (6-2 220) will take an official visit to USC this weekend according to GamecockCentral. USC recruiters met with the BYU commitment earlier on Friday. Tuipulotu had 125 catches for 1725 yards and 9 touchdowns this season and played in the Touchstone Energy North-South Game.
DB Nick McCloud of South Pointe will not take an official visit to USC this weekend. He met with his USC recruiter earlier in the day and was told the Gamecocks have a numbers issue at defensive back right now and they are not offering him at this point.
