I know we play a hybrid TE/Fullback for many of our looks on offense, letting Justice fill that role mostly, but who plays fullback next year out of the 'I', or in power running sets?

I saw Coffee and Gilchrist and some other experienced guys listed as FBs in the Spring. Seems like we don't have any obvious choices for this crucial piece. Everyone knows how much DiMarco helped Marcus have that amazing freshman season. I hope to see someone step in and be that go-to lead blocker.

Justice has the mind and heart for the position, but he's pretty tall, and can't change direction and get super low like a true FB. A bruising FB can inspire an entire team.

I think we will use a combination. Gilchrist is fast and big - 240+, and played TB in high school. If he catches well, we may have a real triple threat to block, run, and run after catch. Cunningham is a good blocker, catches well, strong, but slow. Coffee is an unknown, mainly because of injury, but a good, versatile athlete. We should have more firepower there than last year.

Agree with you!
