Gamecock commit 4 star QB Braden Davis was named Delaware Gatorade Player of the Year. It’s the first Gatorade honor for both quarterbacks. Davis has led Middletown High to a 10-1 mark and spot in the Class 3A championship game this week.
During the regular season, he completed 114 of 156 passes for 1,872 yards and 20 touchdowns through nine games, with just three interceptions. He also rushed for 638 yards and three scores on 46 carries.
Davis is selected to play in the Under Armour All-American game. He has volunteered locally on behalf of Stockings for Soldiers and Habitat for Humanity. Davis has maintained a weighted 4.17 GPA in the classroom, according to the announcement from Gatorade.
