Braden Davis and Keenan Nelson will be teammates on the South Carolina football team in a few months. But on Friday night, they will be on opposing sides in a nationally televised game. Davis and his Middletown (Del.) squad will host Nelson and St. Joseph’s Prep (Pa.) at 5 p.m. on ESPNU. The matchup is one of MaxPreps’ 10 high school football games to watch this week. “GAMECOCK NATION!!!! The four-star prospects are the two highest-ranked recruits for coach Shane Beamer so far in the Gamecocks’ Class of 2022 by 247Sports Composite rankings. Davis, a quarterback, is the 18th-ranked QB prospect in the country and top prospect from the state of Delaware. Nelson is the 16th-best safety in the country and seventh-ranked prospect coming out of Pennsylvania.
